OBJECTIVES AND STANDARDS

COURSE DESCRIPTION

This conference is designed to assist practicing clinicians in the accurate and timely diagnosis of brain and liver pathology, present challenges and can bring added value to their practice, and explore new innovations in diagnostic methods. The expected outcome is that practicing clinicians will receive increased knowledge in the selected fields presented by experts, and will be able to increase knowledge, refine already employed techniques, and learn to apply new techniques for the improvement of practice and patient care.

We have developed several educational presentations for this meeting that are based on recent literature and are intended to close a gap in general clinician’s understanding and management of image guided interventional procedures; understanding and management of Viral Hepatitis; understanding and management of image guided interventional procedures in the brain for stroke; and understanding and management of Cirrhosis.

EDUCATIONAL OBJECTIVES

• Improve patient care using minimally invasive surgery in abdomen and brain.
• Improve patient care in the management of viral hepatitis and Cirrhosis.
• Practice evidence-based medicine and follow the standard of care using minimally invasive surgery in abdomen and brain.
• Practice evidence-based medicine and follow the standard of care in the management of Viral hepatitis and Cirrhosis.
