It is with a great pleasure and honor that we the NRI Committee and ATA would like to invite you all for the 13th ATA Conference and Youth Convention to be held at Pennsylvania Convention Center, Philadelphia, PA from July 3rd-5th 2014.
ATA is working very hard and making every effort to enhance the participant experience and make it a memorable event. In addition to all exciting events at the conference NRI team requests your participation and presence for the following events
- NRI’s in Politics: Let’s Debate (July 4th 2014, Friday, 3:00PM to 5:00 PM) - This will be a lively discussion and debate in a civil and cordial atmosphere. Primary focus is about NRI’s who are actively involved in politics or to be future politicians, with their own hopes and aspirations. Debating accomplished politicians from India and USA.
- NRI Financial Planning Seminar (July 5th 2014. Saturday, 9:30AM to 12:30PM) – An educational seminar moderated by Ram Kolluri CFP garu, primary focus on do's and don’ts about NRI investments, inherited assets in India and RBI regulations & Indian banking system.
There will be a raffle, and limited number of door prizes and gift cards for the participants. Since there will be limited seating we request all of you to pre-register for these events by sending an email to nri@ataconference.org.

NRI’s in Politics: Let’s Debate (July 4th 2014, Friday, 3:00 to 5:00 PM)
This is about NRI’s who are actively involved in politics or to be future politicians, with their own hopes and aspirations. Will debate on
- Do the political aspirants think they are better as a collective, than those average politicians in India at this time? If so, why?
- Any charitable work or wish to accomplish good things in life for the people could be seen in political terms with the NRI direct involvement in politics how does one plan on addressing such a negative feedback?
- Are there any specific areas each of the NRI is motivated to work? What prompts one to motivate self in that direction?
- How to prevent one from becoming a regular politician in India, after getting elected?
- What would you do differently from another politician in India, if you are elected?
AT THIS TIME WE INVITE PARTICIPATION FROM ASPIRING POILTICIANS FROM NRI SEGMENT FOR THIS DEBATE. WE ARE LOOKING FOR FOLLOWING QUALITIES: PROVEN CIVIC LEADERSHIP ABROAD, COMMUNITY LEADERSHIP WITH ACCOMPLISHMENTS, INTEREST IN POLITICAL PROCESS AND INTEREST TO FIELD THEIR CANDIDATURE SEEKING A PARTY TICKET.
