The Cultural Committee is very excited about the upcoming ATA convention and has prepared an extremely fun-filled and star-studded program, which will be sure to make for an unforgettable weekend!

ATA 2014 will be featuring many unique and exciting cultural events that will be showcased by kids, the youth, adults and celebrities alike.

A sneak peak of some of the very exciting and varied events that our dynamic and enthusiastic cultural team is in the process of designing is outlined below:

ATA – SWAAGATHA GEETHAM:

The Cultural Committee is working to present a mesmerizing “Swaagatham Geetham”, to open the 13th ATA Conference, with 100+ kids. You don’t want to miss this masterpiece, which is scheduled to take place on the morning of July 4t

SANGEETHAM MARIYU SAAHITHYAM:

Prepare to get lost in the sweet melodies as Sri Ramachary, founder of the Little Musicians Academy (LMA), takes to the center stage with unforgettable, original music compositions, featuring the unique voices of young local talents.

MISS ATA TEEN PAGEANT:

Beautiful ladies will take to the main stage in a glamorous Beauty Pageant and fashion show like never before. Miss ATA-Youth and Miss ATA-Youth Junior will be an extra special treat this year. We are excited to have none other than Miss America, Nina Davuluri, gracing the occasion!

PAADUTHA TEEYAGA:

Paadutha Teeyaga is the First Music Based Reality Show in South India. The show is hosted by none-other-than, the renowned Indian Playback singer, Padma Bhushan Dr. S. P. Balasubrahmanyam, who hails from Andhra Pradesh.

ATA is privileged to be showcasing the final episode of the season 2 competition, which will be conducted live on the main stage!

FOLK DANCES:

Come and experience the rich culture and tradition of South India that is embodied in this folk presentation by Sri Rama Rao Burugupalli and group,world famous folk artists from Andhra Pradesh.Come get trained under the artists to experience never before performed folk tribal dances like theMathuri Dance, Lambadi Dance, Golden Harvest Dance(Bangaru Panta)and many, many more. Get involved by wearing the traditional Lambadi dress, dance to the tribal tunes, or simply sit back, relax and enjoy the swaying movements performed by some of the local energetic ladies and gentlemen.

NAVVULA JHALLU:

Some revolutionary comedy skits are being planned by various film and TV artists that will surely keep the entire crowd entertained and laughing uncontrollably.

JHUMMANDI NADAM and SAYANDI PADAM:

Winners from Jhummandi Nadam&Syandi Padam, USA singing and dance competitions,will display their talents through energetic performances on center stage.

GLITZ, GLAMOR AND CELEBRITY SHOWCASES:

Several,yet undisclosed,Tollywood celebrity skits and dances are still in the works! Many upcoming film and TV artists are in the process of being lined up,including Comedy Star SHIVA REDDY, who will be involved in a variety of programs throughout the exciting weekend.

GRAND FINALE: MUSICAL EXTRA VAGANZA:

The mega-star Grand Finale event is going to be a sensational musical extravaganza, featuring an accomplished group of superstar artists. This will be an unforgettable and sensational treat, as today’sleadingplayback singers will present various tunes from the 60’s to super-hit foot-tapping numbers from today. A few familiar names to look forward to: Mano, Sri Rama Chandra, Hemachandra, and Shravana Bhargavi, Malavika…among many others!

The Cultural Committee is a stounded by the overwhelming response that has been received from all the corners of the world. People from all different fields and areas are expressing their enthusiasm, eagerness and excitement to be a part of this prestigious mega-event. The 2014 Convention will be involving nearly 42 Telugu Associations nationwide, enabling Telugu talent from all around the country to come and participate in these momentous programs. The Cultural Committee has received requests to accommodate for many more programs than there is allocated time and so, is tasked with the impossible: to carefully create a detailed and comprehensive schedule catering to people of all ages and interests!The Cultural Committee would like to thank every parent, participant, association and regional coordinator, and all others who have contributed to the efforts, for helping to collect such a massive pool of talents. This is already shaping up to be an unforgettable experience!
